In 2013, GOZ Obukhovsky plant OJSC, which is part of Concern PVO Almaz-Antey, plans to increase its portfolio of orders threefold as compared with 2012 – up to 12 billion rubles, a representative of the enterprise said to the journalists on Friday.

“In 2011, our order portfolio amounted to 2 billion roubles, in 2012 we have reached the point of 4 billion rubles and in 2013 we will get 12 billion roubles”, he said, clarifying that they will manage to achieve such a dynamic due to the receipt of orders within the framework of the state arms program for the period up to 2020.
He noted that most of the contracts had already been signed. This refers to the S-300 and S-400 air defense missile systems, as well as to production of launchers for corvettes and destroyer leaders manufactured at “Severnaya verf” and “Yantar” ship-building plant.
Today the process of updating the Saint-Petersburg defense enterprise is on fast-forward according to the Chairman of the State Duma, Sergey Narishkin, who has visited the Obukhovsky plant today. “The enterprise will be provided with deals for the next year”, he noted.
Today, the enterprise is implementing a project for the development of the North-West Regional Center of Concern PVO Almaz-Antey OJSC, a modern engineering research and production complex. The North-West Regional Center building project, based on the factory is being implemented within the program of removal of the industrial enterprises from the Petersburg city center.  St. Petersburg enterprises that are parts of Almaz-Antey will be transferred to facilities of the future center. This will make it possible to vacate over 40 hectares of land in the St. Petersburg city center. As of today JSC Radio Equipment Plant has already transferred its facilities; OJSC Special Engineering Design Department will be shifted in 2013-2014, OJSC Russia’s Institute of Radionavigation and Time and OJSC Order of the Red Banner of Labour All-Russia Radio Technology Scientific Research Institute will transfer their facilities in 2014-2015.
The Obukhovsky plant was founded in May 1863 and named after the scientist and metallurgist Pavel Obukhov, who had developed the cast steel production method for manufacture of the artillery-type weapon. The enterprise was integrated into Concern PVO Almaz-Antey in 2002. Along with civil production, the enterprise is specialized in designing, manufacturing, installing and servicing different weapon systems and military hardware for use by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.
